Housing Justice Clinic

The Housing Justice Clinic advises and represents low-income residents of Newton, Waltham, and Watertown with the following types of matters:

  • Eviction defense and possible counterclaims

  • Public housing advocacy for current public housing tenants, tenants with housing subsidies (vouchers), and applicants who have been unfairly rejected

We operate on a fall/spring semester basis and usually open for intake in August and January. We do not accept new matters between May–August. Please call our main line at 617-552-0248 for our most up to date availability.

Eligibility criteria: If you are on 125% of the Federal Poverty Level, reside in one of the towns listed above and are currently facing a tenant eviction, you may be eligible for our services. Please call our main line at 617-552-0248 for an initial intake.

Note: As of April 1st, 2025, our housing clinic will be closed for intake.
